William R. Swartz

William R. Swartz was born on 27 Feb 1820 in Bloody Run, Bedford County, Hopewell Township, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Henry Swartz 1770-1848 and Anna Elizabeth Riblet 1773-1870. Henry and Anna relocated from Pennsylvania to Wayne County, Ohio, about 1832. William Swartz married Elizabeth Ann Bonewitz 1824-1897, on Jun 1842, in Wayne County. Their children were: Mary Elizabeth 1844-1923, Henry Franklin 1845-1921, Matilda , Sarah Jane 1852-1912, Rebecca Susan 1853-1917, Solomon Esli 1857-1916, Robert Austin 1864-1952, Opoha and Daniel Riblet 1866-1896. William R. Swartz died on 23 Oct 1908. Obituary, Wayne County Republican 28 Sep 1908 (#2426).He is buried in West Salem Cemetery, West Salem, Wayne County, Ohio.
