William Kohus

1874-1906

William Kohus was born in July 1874 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio. He was the son of Johan Heinrich Kohues 1838-1913 and Anna Gertrud Fromme 1844-1909. His parents were immigrants from Ostbevern, Westphalia, Germany. His father, known in America by the name Henry Kohus, was a tailor and owned his own tailoring business in Cincinnati, Ohio. William had five siblings, Henry B. 1865-1921, George 1872-1873, Edward F. 1877-1952, Gertrude 1883-1942 and Florence 1884-1972. William Kohus died on 20 Mar 1906 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio and is buried there in Calvary Cemetery in Cincinnati. His obituary appeared in a Cincinnati, German newspaper called the Volks Freund (#265).
