Solomon Bonewitz

Solomon Bonewitz was born on 12 Jan 1796 in Stephens Neck, Berkley County, Virginia. He was the son of Jacob Bonewitz 1761-1818 and Maria Eva Rosanna Specht 1749-1822. Solomon married Mary Stecher 1806-1884, on 2 Sep 1823. They had at least twelve children. Solomon is mentioned in the History Of Wayne County as a trustee, serving off and on between 1828 and 1849. Mary (Stecher) Bonewitz died on15 Dec 1894. Solomon departed on 7 Jan 1876. Their last residence was Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana. Both are buried in Fort Wayne in the Antioch Lutheran Cemetery.
