Rebecca Susan Swartz

Rebecca Susan Swartz was born on 29 Sep 1853 in West Salem, Wayne County, Congress Township, Ohio. She was the daughter of William R. Swartz 1820-1908 and Elizabeth Ann Bonewitz 1824-1897. Rebecca married Esli T. Clouse on 22 Jun 1875 in Wayne County, Ohio (#2190). Esli was the son of George Clouse 1816-1859 and Elisabeth Kesler 1816-1884 from Pennsylvania. By 1840 George and Elizabeth had relocated from Pennsylvania to Van Wert County, Liberty Township, Ohio. Rebecca and Esli had six children: Silvia Ann 1877-,  William Theodore 1880-1979, Mary Eliza 1882-1922, Lucinda 1887-1887, Ada Elisabeth 1888-1972 and Matilda Iona 1892-1918. Rebecca and Esli lived on a farm in Van Wert County, Liberty Township, Ohio.  Rebecca died on 20 Sep 1917 (#177). Esli died on New Years Eve 31 Dec 1926 (#176). They are buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ohio City, Ohio.
