Louis Oscar Kohus

Louis Oscar Kohus was the first born child of Herbert Bernard Kohus Sr.1886-1969 and Mabel Julia Duncan 1890-1970. He was born on 27 Nov 1910 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio. He grew up in Cincinnati and enlisted in the U S Navy om 1 Feb 1944, during WWII. On 6 Jul 1944 he was serving aboard the USS LST 923. Louis married Lillian M. Paston 1914-1998 daughter of John Albert Paston 1873-1927 and Susan Lander 1872-1946. Together they raised a family of nine children: Louis Albert, Mary Susan 1935-1907, Ronald Lee, George E. 1940-1984, Herbert W., William, Cecilia, David Allen 1951-2010 and John F. Louis was a painter by trade. His last residence was in Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio. Louis Oscar Kohus died on 1 Feb 1994 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro. Lillian (Paston) Kohus died on 24 Nov 1998. They are buried in Resthaven Memorial Cemetery, Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio.
