Loretta C. Dillhoff

Loretta Dillhoff was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in Nov 1877. She was the daughter of John Henry and Burnadine Dillhoff from Hanover, Prussia. Loretta married Edward Frederick Kohus 1877-1952. Edward Frances Kohus was the son of (Joan Heinrich Kohues) Henry Kohus 1838-1913 and Anna Gertrud Fromme 1844-1909,both from Ostbevern, Westfalen, Prussia. Henry Kohus was one of three brothers to emigrate to Cincinnati, Ohio from Ostbevern. Loretta worked much of her life as a seamstress and Edward worked as a clothing cutter. Edward's father Henry and Edward's brother Henry B. Kohus 1865-1921 were tailors and had their own business, Kohus & Son, which later became H. B. Kohus & Company. Loretta's husband Edward F. Kohus died on 13 Sep 1952 in Cincinnati. He is buried in Calvary Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio. Loretta (Dillhoff) Kohus died on 15 Feb 1961 and is buried in St. John Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio.
