Joseph Bonewitz 1790- 1871

Joseph Bonewitz was the son of Jacob Bonewitz 1761-1818 and Maria Eva Rosanna Specht 1749-1822. He was born in Berks County Pennsylvania on 7 May 1786. Joseph married Sarah Franks 1794-1861 in *1814. Some time before 1830, Joseph and his family relocated to Wayne County, East Union Township, Ohio. Between 1850 and 1860 Joseph and Sarah moved to Huntington County, Rockcreek Township, Indiana. Joseph was a farmer by trade. Sarah Franks died on 12 Jan 1861. Joseph survived his wife by ten years. He died in 1871. Both are buried in Barnes Chapel Cemetery, Huntington County, Indiana.
