Jasper Clouse

Jasper Clouse was born in 1847 in Ashland County, Jackson Township, Ohio. He was the son of Simon Clouse 1815-1899 and Sarah Elizabeth Newcomer 1820-1884. Jasper lived less than four years. He died on 11 Dec 1851 and is buried in the Rickel Cemetery, Ashland County, Ohio. He is buried there along with his Parents, Simon and Sarah, and grandparents, Michael Clouse 1789-1867 and Anna Mariah Bonewitz 1784-1872. Rickel Cemetery is located near an Amish farm in a wooded area. Unfortunately, Rickel Cemetery is in decline, with several gravestones broken or knocked over. Jasper's headstone is one that is broken and lying on the ground.
