Isaac Putman was born 13 Sep 1829 in Somerset, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Peter Putman 1802-1885 and Margaret Adams. Isaac married Sophia Mihm 1833-1920, on 19 Aug 1852 in Van Wert County, Ohio (#2343). Sophia was the daughter of Valentine Mihm 1799-1861 and Rachel Holben 1796-1892, Isaac died in Mercer County, Ohio on 2 Nov 1894. Sophia died on 5 May 1920. Both are buried in Ridge (Slater) Cemetery in Van Wert County.
Obituary: Isaac Putman died at his residence
in Rockford, Ohio, November 2, 1894, of typhoid fever, aged 65 years, 1 month
and 19 days. He came to this county fifty five years ago in company with his
father, mother and one sister and remained in Mercer and Van Wert counties until
his death. He was united in marriage with Sophia Mihm in 1852, to whose union
were born nine children, two of whom preceded their father to rest."
