George Washington Clouse

1845-1931

George Washington Clouse was born 18 Feb 1845 in Van Wert County, Liberty Township, Ohio. His parents were George Clouse 1816-1859 and Elizabeth Kesler 1816-1884. George was the son of a farming family and worked as a farmer most of his life.  He married Mary B. Pflueger 1855-1935 on 29 Nov 1874, in Van Wert County, Ohio. George and Mary had at least seven children, Ezebell, Michael, Hannah, Mary, Joseph, Courtland and Ida. The family lived in Van Wert County, Ohio until at least 1880.  On the 1900 census George is living in Kingfisher County, Oklahoma with his wife and three children. At that time he is working as a laborer. On the 1920 census George and Mary are living with their son Joseph Clouse in .Polk County, Arkansas and in 1930 they are living in Polk County with daughter Ida Jane Clouse.  George W Clouse died on 10 Nov 1931 in Polk County, Arkansas.
