August Ferdinand Kohues

1864-

August Ferdinand Kohues was born 17 November 1864 in Ostbevern, Westfalen, Prussia. His parents were Johann Hermann Kohues 1829-1903 and Anna Maria Clara Haverkamp 1831-.  He was christened in St. Ambrosus Church in Ostbevern, (#108). Ferdinand is a distant cousin of mine. We share common grandparents starting from Joannnes Hermannus Kohues 1770-1832 and Anna Elisabeth Vogelsang 1767-1830. My Kohues line immigrated to America in the mid 19th century Ferdinand's line stayed in Prussia/Germany. He is pictured with his wife Anna Maria Catharina Gröne , born in Ostbevern on 24 March 1868. They were married on 4 May 1898 in Ostbevern, Germany. The only children of Fredinand and Anna Maria Catharina I can name are Ferdinand Kohues 1899-1918, Bernard Johann Kohues 1901-, Henrich August Kohues 1904- and Maria Anna Kohues 1907-.
