Loretta Dillhoff 1877-1961 of Cincinnati,
Ohio, daughter of John Henry Dillhoff and Burnadine. Joan Henry and Burnadine
were born in Hanover, Prussia. Edward's father Joann Heinrich Kohues/Kohus was one of three Kohues
(Kohus) brothers
to immigrate from Ostbevern, Prussia to Cincinnati. Edward's father was a merchant
tailor in Cincinnati and ran his own company, Kohus & Son. Kohus & Son included
Joann Henrich Kohues aka Henry Kohus and Edward's brother Henry B. Kohus
1865-1921. Edward also worked in the tailoring profession for some time,
probably in his father's business. Edward's occupation in 1952, as listed
on his death certificate
(#1158), was as
a bookkeeper in a railroad office. Edward Frederick Kohus died on 13 Sep1952 and
is buried in one of his father's family plots in Calvary Cemetery,
Cincinnati, Ohio. His wife Loretta (Dillhoff) Kohus died 15 Feb 1961 and is buried in St. John Cemetery, Cincinnati,
Ohio.
