Deewitt Clouse was born on 25 Apr 1911 in Illinois. His father was William Theodore Clouse 1880-1979. I have not yet discovered who his mother was but know that she died before 1920. William Clouse had two children I can name, Paul E. Clouse 1914-2002 and Deewitt Clouse 1911-1974.  After the death of his mother and before 1920 Paul had been sent to the Nachusa Lutheran Orphanage in Lee County, Illinois. On the 1920 census, Deewitt was living with his grandparents Henry and Mary Gray in McNairy County, Tennessee. Deewitt married Vionia Mary Rosalee Plunk 1915-2002 in 1936. She was the daughter of Erwin Plunk and Jessie Whitten. They made their home in Tennessee and lived there the remainder of their lives. After the death of Deewitt Vionia later married Jeff Milligan.
