Catherine Mihm

1835-1918

Catherine Mihm was born near Waterloo, Seneca County, New York on 15 May 1835. Her parents were Valentine Mihm 1799-1861 and Rachel Holben 1796-1892. Catherine and her parents had migrated to Medina County, Ohio, by 1850. On 11 May 1854 she married Amasa King 1832-1870 and was living in  Mercer Co., Black Creek Twp., Ohio. Catherine and her sister Lavina Mihm married brothers, Amasa and Andrew Mitchell King 1834-1918. Catherine's husband Amasa King was a veteran of the Civil War, serving as a first Sgt. in the 46th Ohio Infantry. Catharine died on 18 Mar 1918.; She is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Van Wert County, Ohio. Van Wert County marriage record (#400). Catherin Mihm death certificate (#2078)
