William Ottis Hargis

1924-2005

William Ottis Hargis was born 4 Jun 1924 in Rowan County, Kentucky. He was the son of Charles Ottis Hargis 1896-1976 and Maudie Marie (Chapman) Hargis 1901-1985. He moved to Clermont County, Ohio as a young man where he married Carrie Jordan 1923-2004. They had two children, William Hargis Jr.1951-1969 and Susan Hargis. His son William Jr. was tragically killed in an automobile accident. William Sr. was a veteran of the US Army and served his country during WWII. he was a long time member of the VFW. Bill Hargis was employed by the B. & O. Railroad from which he retired. His wife Carrie died in 25 Dec 2004 and William Ottis Hargis died on 11 Feb 2005 in Medina County, Ohio. They are buried in Graceland Memorial Cemetery, Clermont County, Ohio.
