Randell Delano Hargis

1933-1990

Randell Delano Hargis was born 8 Jul 1933 in Rowan County, Kentucky. He was one of eight siblings of Charles Ottis Hargis 1896-1976 and Maudie Marie Chapman 1901-1985. Randell was raised on a farm in Rowan County, Kentucky and joined the U. S. Army on 23 Jan 1952, He served during the Korean War and was honorably discharged from active service on 21 Jul 1954. On 20 May 1956 Randell married LaVerne Johnson in Rochester, Lorain County, Ohio. LaVern was born in Rowan County, Kentucky, the daughter of George William Johnson and Alma Hazel Stevens. They made their home in Wakeman, Ashland County in northern Ohio. Randell and LaVerne had two children, Randi LaVerne Hargis and Rhonda Hargis. Randell worked for the Ford Motor Company. Randell Delano Hargis died on  24 Mar 1990 in Wooster, Wayne County, Ohio. He is buried in Bradley Family Cemetery, Olive Hill, Carter County, Kentucky.
