Elizabeth Weddington was born
17 Mar 1805 in Russell County, Virginia. She was the daughter of Jacob Weddington
1777-, Washington County Virginia, and Jane Pressley. Elizabeth married
John Louis Hargis 1802-1886 of Washington
County, Virginia on 4 July 1922 in Russell County, Virginia. Elizabeth and
family relocated to Pikeville, Kentucky and later settled in Jackson, Breathitt
County, Kentucky. Her husband John Louis Hargis was a lawyer; delegate to
Kentucky state constitutional convention in 1849 and a member of the Kentucky
state house of representatives, 1855-57. Elisabeth and Louis had 11 children;
