John Marchant
*1625-
John Marchant 2, (John, 1), b. abt. 1625;
resident of Yarmouth, Mass. but prob. removed to Edgartown about 1682 and d.
sometime before 1693. He was freeman in 1652, Ensign 1664 and Lieutenant 1670.
Nothing is known of his marriage, but the following are undoubtedly his
children:

4. Abishai, b. 10 Jan. 1650-1.
5. John, b. (1658); bur. 19 June 1672 as "John, Junior."
6. Charles, b. {1655); of Nantucket 1679.
7. Christopher, b. (1658); witness to deed at E. 1685.
S. Sarah, b. (1661); m. (1) Richard Arey (2); (2) Thomas Harlock (10)
